Built with a capacity to manufacture 15 MT per day in the first phase, the plant is expected to manufacture 1.2 million tyres when fully operational

Ceat commissions Buti Bori tyre plant in Maharashtra

Ceat Ltd, the flagship company of RPG Enterprises, has commissioned its greenfield tyre manufacturing unit at Buti Bori, near Nagpur, Maharashtra, on March 28, 2016. This has resulted in addition of 15 metric tonne (MT) per day in the installed capacity of Nagpur plant. Full expansion project of 120 MT per day is however expected to be commissioned, in phases, by end of FY 2017-18.
 
Announced in December 2014, the new Buti Bori tyre plant involved invest of about Rs 400 crores in the first phase, which was commissioned on Monday. The new plant will manufacture two and three wheeler tyres.
