Jain Irrigation bags orders Rs 284 crores order for water supply projects

The Pune-based Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd (JISL), a provider of end-to-end solutions of plastic piping systems for agriculture and plumbing applications, has secured an order worth Rs 284.43 crores under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme.

The company has bagged contract for executing water supply projects at Bijapur and Bagalkot (both in Karnataka) and will be responsible for project design & execution over 24-36 months and operation & maintenance (O&M) for 60 months. JISL will also provide its piping expertise and solutions to cater to smart cities and AMRUT cities.

The objective of smart and AMRUT cities is to provide core infrastructure and give a decent quality of life to its citizens, a clean and sustainable environment and application of smart solutions. JISL has already commissioned water supply projects in four major cities in Karnataka - Hubli, Dharwad, Belgaum and Gulbarga. Jain Irrigation is also executing similar projects in other parts of the country.
 
Jain Irrigation provides PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and PE (polyethylene) piping systems for applications such as water supply, city gas distribution, cable ducting, effluents treatment plants & other industrial systems.
