Rules & Regulations
General
- The Business Standard Quiz is open for participation to B-School students as well as Corporate professionals from the respective regions.
- Entries in teams of two are eligible. Both team members should be from the same institute/ company.
- Registration is compulsory beforehand. Please contact regional offices for last dates of registration for each region.
- There is no registration fee for participation in the Business Standard Quiz.
- Each participant is requested to carry their College ID/ Company ID.
- Business Standard employees, their relatives, or employees of partners for the event will not be eligible to participate.
- The participants shall not be allowed to use mobiles or any other electronic instruments.
- Prizes received under the competition shall not be transferable. Prizes cannot be substituted for other articles or gifts.
- Kindly note, the decision of the quiz-master will be final.
- Participation in this Quiz competition implies acceptance of all the terms and conditions of the Quiz competition.

- Answer sheets will be provided. And 20 questions will be asked by the Quiz master.
- On handing over of completed answer sheets, the semi-finalists will be identified.
- Scoring will be 1 mark per correct answer. There are no negative marks.
- Top 12 teams go through to the next round.
- In case of a tie in determining the top 12, those with equal marks will be asked an additional set of 5 questions.
Semi-final round
- Teams will be grouped into groups of 6 each. There will be two semi-final rounds so to speak.
- This will be determined through a draw of lots among those who made the cut.
- Each semi-final round will have 5 rounds each with questions going both clockwise and anticlockwise.
- Teams get 30 seconds to answer the question after which it passes to the next team.
- Scoring: 10 points for a direct question and 5 points for an indirect.
- There are no negative marks for wrong answers.
- Top 3 teams from each semi-final round go through to the final.
- In case of a tie, a tie-breaker question to each of the tied participants will be asked till winner emerges.
Final
- 6 teams vie for the final prize.
- There will be 6 rounds in the final round. Scoring will be the same as in the semi-final with no negative marking.
Top 2 teams from each region will then compete in the National finals
