XLRI Admissions 2023: Double Masters in Supply Chain Management & Analytics offered by XLRI Jamshedpur & Rutgers B-School US

XLRI has always had and maintains a global outlook. True to its vision, XLRI strives to offer an education which just does not culminate in a mere degree, but one that inspires future business leaders to respond to the unmet needs of the society. And owing to its vision, XLRI Jamshedpur launched a “Double Masters Programme in Logistics and Supply Chain Management” in February 2022 in collaboration with Rutgers Business School, US. 

Under this collaboration, XLRI Jamshedpur & Rutgers Business School will offer students an opportunity for educational programs and gain industry exposure. Students who are admitted in this programme will complete the first year of courses in XLRI Jamshedpur and the second year at Rutgers Business School, US. On successful completion of the required courses and other formalities as stipulated by the respective institutions, the students will be awarded PGDM in LSCM from XLRI Jamshedpur and MS in SCA from RBS, US.  

The two-year AICTE-approved full-time programme is designed to provide students a fundamental understanding of a firm's logistics and supply chain management from a global perspective. Students will acquire professional competencies in supply chain management, materials management and logistics, and an in-depth understanding of supply chain analytics enhancing their knowledge, job skills and self-enrichment. This highly competitive program is best suited for those with a mindset to apply analytics to supply chain fields and be the future supply chain leaders.

The first batch of the Double Masters Programme has 18 students who have successfully enrolled in the course. And as the students are into their second term at XLRI, they are looking forward to a successful Summer Internship Process and subsequently will be gearing up for their journey onward to RBS. They are looking forward to their stint at RBS which encompasses a plethora of interesting courses and industry exposure that would equip them with all the necessary skills to stand out in the supply chain world. “Supply chain management and analytics is a booming field. XLRI & RBS being the best universities prepare the students to be industry-ready. The wide range of management courses currently being covered has provided a new perspective on how things work. Peer learning among LSCM students has already created a camaraderie among us. The prospects of this course and the way that it has been structured have instilled confidence about performing outstandingly well in the industry in each one of us”, says Vamsi Krishna, student. 

Admissions for the next academic year 2023 have started. And for this programme, minimum eligibility is a three years of Bachelor's degree in any discipline, recognized by a University or Deemed to be University and it should be from a NAAC accredited  institution with a rating of at least A. For Engineering graduates of minimum 4 years from reputed institutions like IIT's, NIT's, etc., NAAC Accreditation is not mandatory. Those completing their final examination by June 10, 2023 may also apply. The selection criteria will be based on the test scores of XAT 2023, GMAT and GRE only. A student will graduate in 2 years for both the PGDM and MSCA with an estimated saving of about Rs.15.3 lakhs in XLRI and about $15,000 - $21,000 (tuition, living, etc.) in the U.S. Scholarships of $12,500 to $15,000 will be offered to all eligible students during the second year at RBS, U.S. Enrolled students will also get a full experience of U.S. metro areas (NYC, DC, Philadelphia) and STEM OPT as per the prevailing rules of OPT while graduating in the U.S.
