It was India's session through and through as Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed his second double century and also equalled the record for most sixes in a Test inning by hitting 12 of them on his way to an unbeaten 213. Sarfaraz Khan his partner also hit a fifty in the second innings, scoring 68 not out and adding 172 runs for the sixth wicket to take India to 430/5 declared.

A brilliant run out courtesy of Dhruv Jurel forced centurion from England's first innings Ben Duckett departed quickly. England were 18/2 at Tea as Cralwy was given leg before wicket off Bumrah even as it was Umpire's call on hitting wickets. A total of 134 runs were scored in the session at the loss of just two wickets in 24.1 overs.

Zak Crawly would call himself unlucky as the ball was just about nipping the top of the middle and the umpire, after thinking for probably 30 seconds raised his finger, Crawley reviewed, but to no avail as it was umnoire’s call on hitting the wickets and he has to depart as England lose two just at the stroke of Tea.
