Shreyas Iyer got off the mark in style with a four, immediately after India lost Gill to Burger. Next ball though the guy had no idea of where the ball was going.  Kohli got off the mark with a four as well. It was pitched up, on the pads and flicked past deep square leg for a four.

Shubman Gill would have to walk back as he has edged one back to the keeper. The on-field umpire did not give it out, but Proteas reviewed as Veereyene, the wicket-keeper was very confident in his appeal. As a result, the ultra-edge caught a slight nick and Gill had to walk back.

Nandre Burger has struck in his first game as a Test bowler. Jaiswal wanted to play an expensive drive but only managed to get the edge back to the keeper and Kyle Veereyne made no mistake with the gloves. India are two down inside the first 10 overs.
