India vs England 3rd Test, Day 2, 1st session Summary
India started on its overnight score of 326/5 in 86 overs in the first session on Day 2. They lost the overnight batters Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav in quick succession to Joe Root and James Anderson respectively. However, debutant Dhruv Jaurel partnered Ravichandran Ashwin well to deny any other wicket to the English bowlers as India reached Lunch at 388/7. They brought up the fifty partnership among themselves for the eighth wicket.
62 runs were added in 27 overs in the first session at the loss of only two wickets. India's session as the team now leads 3-1 in terms of session play in the third Test. Jurel is unbeaten on 31 while Ashwin is batting on 25.
