Graeme Swann and Deep Dasgupta in the official pitch report said that the pitch has played better than expected, especially after the first session of play. As of now, ‘the cracks are bigger and it is quite abrasive.’ 
 

Swann does not leave his funny bone aside even during the pitch report saying, “The cracks are so big that you can lose a pen in there.” For England to succeed, they must hit these cracks consistently. However, in its entirety, the pitch is good and not misbehaving which means that the target would not be very stiff.

Jurel’s salute to celebrate his half-century

 

Dhruv Jurel, who saluted to celebrate his maiden Test fifty on the morning of Day 3, was giving tribute to the sacrifices made by his father to make sure he plays cricket. Jurel’s father is a Kargil war veteran of the Indian Army.
