It was a thrilling game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on the Green Day celebrated by the Royal Challengers Bangalore as they beat the Rajasthan Royals by seven runs to register two back to back wins for the first time this season. They beat Punjab away from home in their previous encounter. This is also the first time that Rajasthan Royals have lost two on the trot this season. 

 

Chasing 190, Royals lost Buttler early. Devdutt Padikkal and Yashavsi Jaiswal added 98 for the second wicket but slowed down in the middle. Samson failed to score big and Hetmyer was run out. Dhruv Jurel managed to keep them in the hunt till the very last over but didn't get the strike in the last over, Needing 20 to win in it, they managed to get to only 12 and lost the game by seven runs. 

 

Earlier in the day, after being asked to bat first, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 189/9 in their 20 overs. The score could have been more than that, but Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis got out before the death. Maxwell hit 77 off 44 while du Plessis made 62 off 39.
