India with the help of blistering centuries from Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma and disciplined outing from the bowlers, dismanltles South Africa in the fourth T20I at Johannesburg by 135 runs to secure the four match series by 3-1. The home team were let down by thier batters once agin as they only manged to get 148 in a mammoth chase of 284 on Friday night. Earlier, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bat first.
His decision proved right, as India added 73 runs for the first wicket before Abhishek Sharma got out on 36 off 18 to Simpamla. However, that was the only moment of celebration for the Proteas, as Sanju Samson (109 not out off 56 balls) and Tilak Varma (120 not out off 47 balls) added unbeaten 210 runs for the second wicket to end the Indian innings at 283 for 1 at the end of 20 overs mark.
In reply, the Proteas were never in the chase as they lost 4 wickets inside 3 overs and were reduced to 10 for 4. Tristan Stubbs (43), David Miller (36) and Marco Jansen (29 not-out) tried to put up a fight, but the 284 runs target proved way too much as they only mange to get 148 on the board before getting all out in just 18.2 overs.
