Kane Williamson (73) led New Zealand to an easy 8-wicket win over Bangladesh on Friday, October 13 in an ICC World Cup 2023 match played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Daryl Mitchell with the bat (89) and Lockie Ferguson with the ball (3/49) also played crucial roles.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh playing 11
Earlier New Zealand captain Kane Willaimson won the toss against Shakib Al Hasan-led Bangladesh and opted to field first. The Kiwi bowlers restricted Bangladesh to 245/9 with only Mushfiqur Rahim going past the fifty mark.
While Will Young made way for Williamson on the New Zealand playing 11, Mahedi Hasan did the same for Mahmudullah in the Bangladesh playing 11.
