In today's (Sunday, October 22) match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, Mohammed Shami got a five-wicket haul and helped India restrict New Zealand to 273 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. Daryl Mitchell hit his maiden ODI World Cup century (130) while Rachin Ravindra also did well with a 75 to help the Kiwis from early blows. For India, apart from Shami, Kuldeep Yadav got two wickets. 

 

Earlier India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. India made two changes in their playing 11 as Mohammed Shami came in for Shardul Thakur while Suryakumar Yadav made his World Cup debut and replaced injured Hardik Pandya. New Zealand made no changes in their playing 11.
