Virat Kohli becomes the first man in the history of world cricket to smash 50 ODI centuries and what an occasion to get to that milestone. 

 

In the first semi-final of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 today (Wednesday, November 15), India posted a mammoth 397/4 thanks to centuries from Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Kohli also surpassed Sachin Tendulkar to become the only batter with 50 ODI centuries in the history of cricket. He also became the highest run-scorer in a single edition of a World Cup, once again surpassing Sachin's record of 673 runs in one World Cup. 

 

Earlier India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first against New Zealand. No changes were made in either of the teams as they eye a berth in the final.
