If you would like Business Standard to delete your account and associated information, click Delete Account in the Manage my Account Section on the web or the app and re-confirm.

The Account Information mentioned below and Information Associated with your account will be removed permanently. Please read carefully.
We will store your request of Account Deletion by delinking your email ID and contact information. The request will be stored alongside your numerical Account ID in our database
Once the request is confirmed and submitted we will not be able to reinstate any part of the information mentioned below or entertain any requests in this regard.
All information including your registration and access credentials for the platform will be removed permanently.
This would include your mobile number, email ID, subscription information, subscription purchase history and any consumption history that we use to provide you with content recommendations.
If you have an active subscription the subscription will cease to exist and you will lose access to the subscription. Please read our No Refund policy before proceeding
If you have opted for any Newsletters or alerts, your email ID will be removed from the mailing lists on the next earliest available schedule.
Account deletion would also mean permanent removal of any Saved Articles, clippings, urls, preferences, alerts that you may have set related to authors, companies, topics etc which you may have opted to save in your account for future reference. The removal will include all products – Web and App and will include information stored as part of the E-paper service
You would lose access to any Portfolios you may have created on our website alongwith all the data in your portfolio. This will not be limited to just purchase and sales history but will include all transactions alongwith transaction history. You will also stand to lose data stored in your watch list. Be sure to download the information on your personal devices before you proceed with the account deletion.
What will we continue to retain for a period of 12 months from the date of your account deletion request.
We will retain any subscription receipts and payment information alongwith subscription history for our financial reconciliation and audit records
We will retain your account information for legal and regulatory compliance. The information will be stored with your numerical account number and by delinking your privacy information. This will be shared only in event of a demand for this information from a legal or a government authority supported by a compliant written demand.
