'Drink this water to get our vote': Village dares candidates ahead of Haryana polls

Ahead of the upcoming Haryana elections, voters in Samaspur village, part of the Charkhi Dadri constituency, have issued a challenge to candidates from all political parties seeking their vote. The challenge: to drink a glass of the water currently being supplied to their village. Residents claim they have been forced to buy drinking water for years, as the water supplied to the area is dirty and foul-smelling—unfit even for animals, let alone humans, for over a decade.

In the 2019 Assembly elections, Chitra Sarwara gave tough competition to Anil Vij. Once again, she is contesting in the 2024 elections. Chitrangada appealed to the people of Ambala Cantt to vote for Chitra. Praising Chitra Sarwara, Chitrangada Singh said, "She has worked very hard in the past five years."

Around a dozen injured during poll meet in Haryana’s Palwal after a portion of building collapses

The incident took place when the balcony of a house, on which the audience were standing, collapsed in Hathin’s Mathepur village around 8 pm, causing injuries to them. Several people standing under the building were also trapped and injured. Local villagers present at the meeting pulled them out from the debris and took them to nearby hospitals.
