Naxal-affected Dantewada records 10.18% voter turnout till 9 am

In the Naxal-affected area, Dantewada, 10.18 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 9 am. In Sukma district, the voter turnout was at 4.21 per cent, while in Kanker, the voting turnout is 16.48 per cent.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said, “Earlier, big incidents used to happen, now small incidents are happening. I think this will also stop in the future. Naxalism has retreated to a great extent with the work we have done in five years. As a result, polling booths have been set up inside villages. People will vote in their village itself. There is a possibility of high voting percentage in naxal affected areas.”
