Here are two of the biggest winners in 2024 Lok Sabha polls: 

Shankar Lalwani (BJP)
The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Indore Lok Sabha constituency in Madhya Pradesh retained the seat, winning by 1.172 million votes.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan (BJP)
Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan bagged the Vidisha constituency by a vote margin of 821,000.

Chirag Paswan meets Nitish ahead of NDA meeting in Delhi

Chirag Paswan, whose Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) party won all the five constituencies allotted to it as part of the NDA seat-sharing in the state, called on CM Nitish Kumar along with his newly elected MPs. The party contested and won Hajipur, Vaishali, Samastipur, Khagaria and Jamui seats. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Paswan stated: "We congratulated him and sought his blessings. The way the CM has strengthened NDA in the state is highly commendable.

New York Times: The New York Times ran with the headline: “India’s Election Results Suggest a Setback for Modi.” The newspaer highlighted the argument that  “The aura of invincibility around Narendra Modi has been shattered."
 
Washington Post: The American  daily Washington Post described the result as an “unexpected repudiation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi”, noting “tepid support for his Hindu nationalist party, piercing the air of invincibility around the most dominant Indian politician in decades.”
