Punjab polls: Amarinder wins Patiala seat by a margin of 52,407 votes

Punjab Congress President Capt Amarinder Singh on Saturday won the Patiala seat by defeating his nearest rival Balbir Singh of the AAP with a margin of 52,407 votes.

Amarinder polled 72,586 votes while Balbir got 20,179 votes.

SAD candidate and former Army Chief J J Singh was at the third spot, securing 11,677 votes.

Besides from Patiala, Amarinder also contested from Lambi seat from where he was defeated by SAD candidate and Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal.
