A drubbing in the Uttar Pradesh (UP) Assembly polls is unlikely to cast cloud over former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav’s leadership in the Samajwadi Party (SP).

Akhilesh, who emerged from the shadows of his father and Samajwadi Party founder, Mulayam Singh Yadav, just a few months ago and was appointed the national president of the party, would continue to hold the post, sources said.
