Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday flagged the misuse of artificial intelligence for creating 'deep fakes', and said the media must educate people about this crisis in making.

Addressing journalists at BJP's Diwali Milan programme at the party's headquarters here, Modi also referred to his resolve to make India 'Viksit Bharat' (developed India), saying these are not merely words but a ground reality.

Ashneer Grover, wife stopped at airport while travelling to New York

Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain were stopped at the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Thursday while they were travelling to New York, The Economic Times (ET) reported on Friday, citing sources. The two were stopped on the basis of a look-out circular issued against them at the request of the Economic Offences Wing (EoW) of the Delhi Police.  The EOW, in May, registered a case against the couple for alleged misuse of funds of Resilient Innovations Private Ltd, which runs BharatPe. The startup alleged that the Grover family used Rs 81 crore of its money for their personal expenditure.

Economy still fragile, support from IMF to continue: Pakistan's FM

Pakistan's caretaker Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar has said Pakistan's economy continues to remain fragile despite improvements and the cash-strapped nation would have to go for more IMF loans for some time, a media report said on Friday.
Akhtar also emphasised that Pakistan needs strong financial reforms to strengthen its economy, the Dawn newspaper quoted her as saying.
 
"The next International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme is very necessary for some time as the economy has returned to stability that was still very fragile. Until we are able to increase exports and domestic resources, we will need another programme," Akhtar said.

President Joe Biden on Thursday made America's case to national leaders and CEOs attending the Asia-Pacific summit that the United States is committed to high standards in trade and to partnerships that will benefit economies across the Pacific.

We're not going anywhere, he declared. Fresh off his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Biden also told business leaders that the U.S. was de-risking and diversifying but not "decoupling from Beijing. But he did not mince words in suggesting the U.S. and friends in the Pacific could offer businesses a better option than China. He also noted that U.S. economies had invested some $50 billion in fellow Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation economies in 2023, including in clean energy technologies, aviation and cybersecurity.

"Amit Shah will release the manifesto at 10 AM before leaving for the rallies," they said.

Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Virendra Kumar on Friday said that the day of voting is no less than a festival and cast his vote at a polling booth in Tikamgarh district while polling is underway for the 230-member Assembly in Madhya Pradesh.

The Union Minister cast his vote at polling booth number 74 in Tikamgarh district and told ANI, "In a democracy, the voting day is no less than a festival. On this day, every voter should exercise their right."
