He is currently receiving treatment in the hospital..."  NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule also expressed concern over the attack on Khan by an intruder at his home in Mumbai and termed the incident as "worrisome". "Saif is safe and in hospital. Wait for the official statement from the family and the police," Sule told reporters.  Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey strongly condemned the incident, highlighting a series of recent attacks on high-profile individuals. "When celebrities and VIPs are not safe in this country, then what will happen to the normal people. Earlier, there was a firing outside Salman Khan's residence, then Baba Siddique was murdered and now Saif Ali Khan has been stabbed. Is there any law and order or not in Mumbai? Devendra Fadnavis should take cognisance of this matter. It is an unfortunate incident," the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said.
Shiv Sena UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also slammed the administration and state government over the incident saying, "If celebrities are not safe then who in Mumbai is?" Taking to social media post on X, Chaturvedi wrote, "What a shame that Mumbai sees another high profile attempt on life, the attack on Saif Ali Khan yet again raises questions on Mumbai Police & the Home Minister. This is after a series of incidents that show there is a deliberate attempt to undermine Mumbai by targeting big names: - Baba Siddique ji's family is still awaiting justice after his shocking murder. - Salman Khan forced to live in a bullet proof house. - Now it is Saif Ali Khan All in Bandra."

Congress MP from Mumbai North Central, Varsha Gaikwad on Thursday targeted the Maharashtra government after Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan sustained minor injuries following a scuffle with an intruder who entered his residence.

In a post on X, Gaikwad said that the incident happened in Bandra which is considered a safe neighbourhood. "Extremely shocked at this brazen attack. What is going on in Mumbai? That this happens in Bandra in a what is known as a safe neighbourhood, is what is most concerning. What security can the common man then expect?" the Congress MP said.
Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut attacked the BJP-led state government over the incident and asked when artists like Saif Ali Khan are attacked then to what extent the common public is safe?

Addressing a press conference, Raut said, "Saif Ali Khan is an artist; he has also been awarded Padma Shri. Saif Ali Khan and his family met him at the Prime Minister's residence a few days ago. The Prime Minister had invited him. Everyone sat with him for an hour and discussed. Saif Ali Khan was also very happy after meeting the Prime Minister. But yesterday the Prime Minister was in Mumbai and at this time Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife. Some people say the attacker was a thief, some say something else, but what is the law and order situation in this state? ... Where is our Home Minister?" Saif Ali Khan is known for his performances in films like "Omkara", "Dil Chahta Hai", "Kal Ho Naa Ho" and "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior".
