PM Modi US visit: Defence deal, visa rules on the cards
The US administration is likely to make it easier for Indians to live and work in the United States. The State Department is expected to announce that a small number of Indians and other foreign workers on H-1B visas will be able to renew those visas in the US without having to travel abroad, said a Reuters source. It will likely be part of a pilot program that could be expanded in the coming years.
According to Reuters sources, India's defence ministry has approved the procurement of US-made armed MQ-9B SeaGuardian drones. India is likely buy 31 drones made by General Atomics worth slightly over $3 billion.
