A video of an intense fight in the Delhi Metro coach has gone viral on social media. The viral video shows the two men indulging in fisticuffs and pushing each other. The video is apparently from Violet Line between Raja Nahar Singh And Kashmiri Gate. Other commuters in the metro coach could be seen intervening and trying to extricate the two men from each other. Recently, the Delhi Metro has incident dozens of bizarre incidents including couple kissing, people making reels and other objectionable acts. The metro authorities have several times advised commuters to behave properly in the metro but to no avail.

Senior IPS officer Ajay Bhatnagar has been appointed as Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), according to a Personnel Ministry order. Bhatnagar, a 1989 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Jharkhand cadre, is currently Additional Director in the federal probe agency. He has been appointed to the post till the date of his superannuation on November 20, 2024, it said. Anurag, Joint Director in the CBI, will now be Additional Director in the agency.

No illegality in guv appointing VCs in state-run universities: Calcutta High Court
The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday said that there is no illegality in the orders issued by the West Bengal governor appointing interim vice-chancellors in 11 state-run universities in his capacity as ex-officio chancellor of these institutions. The court held that the chancellor has the power to appoint vice-chancellors as it has been laid down in relevant enactments.
It was claimed by the petitioner and also the state government that the orders appointing the vice-chancellors to the universities were illegal as the higher education department was not consulted by Governor C V Ananda Bose before giving such appointments.
Threat calls to Gadkari: Nagpur police to file chargesheet as case yet to be transferred to NIA
The Nagpur police will file the chargesheet in a case registered under anti-terror law UAPA in connection with threatening phone calls made to Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, a senior police official said on Wednesday.
A special NIA court in Nagpur on Monday accepted the request of the city police seeking 50 more days to file the chargesheet after the case could not be transferred to the National Investigation (NIA), he said.
