Earthquake tremors felt in Delhi-NCR; 6.2 magnitude recorded in Nepal

Earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi NCR region on Tuesday. According to the National Center for Seismology, there were two earthquakes in Nepal. The first was at 2:25 pm IST and recorded a 4.6 magnitude on the Richter scale. The second hit minutes late at 2:51 pm IST, recording a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter scale.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported a magnitude of 4.9 for the first and 5.7 magnitude for the second earthquake.

The epicentre lies at 43 km NE of Dipayal in Nepal.

People rushed out of their building as strong tremors were felt in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
 
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaivya and others also stepped out of Nirman Bhawan as tremors were felt in the Delhi NCR region.
