HC refuses relief to gangster Chhota Rajan over plea seeking stay on release of web series

The Bombay High Court on Friday refused to grant any urgent relief to jailed gangster Rajendra Nikalje, alias Chhota Rajan, who had filed a plea against web series Scoop, noting that the series was already released on Netflix. A vacation bench of Justice S G Dige directed the makers and producers of the series, including Hansal Mehta and Netflix Entertainment Services India on whose platform the series has been released, to file their affidavits in response to Rajan's plea by June 7.

Delhi Excise Policy scam: Sisodia produced before CBI court via video conferencing

Delhi's former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was on Friday produced before a CBI court here via video conferencing in connection with the Excise Policy scam case. The CBI had recently filed its first supplementary charge sheet in the case in which Sisodia, along with others, has been made accused. The court has taken cognizance of the charge sheet. Sisodia was brought to the lock up of the court room from where he was produced before the judge through video conferencing.

Maharashtra SSC results out, girls yet again outshone boys

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education on Friday declared Class 10, or SSC, results that saw a pass percentage of 93.83, a drop of nearly 3 points from last year, board officials said. The overall pass percentage stood at 96.94 last year. Maintaining the trend, girls yet again outshone boys, posting an overall pass percentage of 95.87. The pass percentage for boys stood at 92.05.

Nepal PM Pushpakamal Dahal 'Prachanda' arrives in MP for two-day state visit

Nepal Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal "Prachanda" arrived in Madhya Pradesh on Friday as part of his two-day visit to the state. Prachanda and his delegation arrived at the Indore airport, where they were given a warm welcome by state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his cabinet colleagues Tulsiram Silawat, Usha Thakur and Indore BJP MP Shankar Lalwani. Traditional dance was performed at the airport by a troupe in honour of the guests from Nepal. Members of the local Nepalese community raised the "Jai Mahakali" slogans there to welcome them. The Nepal PM and CM Chouhan had a brief interaction at the airport.
