Allahabad High Court dismisses NEET candidate's 'torn OMR sheet' plea

The Allahabad High Court quashed a plea filed by NEET aspirant Ayushi Patel on Tuesday after finding discrepancies in her claims regarding a damaged OMR answer sheet. Patel claimed the National Testing Agency (NTA) failed to declare her result because of a torn OMR sheet. She further alleged that she had a score of 715 based on the answer key, but received a result with a different application number showing only 335 marks.

NHRC issues notice to central government over 'anti-labour practices' at MNC campus

The NHRC in a statement said that it has taken suo motu cognisance of a media report that at one of the warehouses of a multi-national company in Haryana's Manesar "a 24-year-old worker was asked to pledge that they would not take toilet or water breaks until they finished unloading packages from six trucks, each measuring 24 feet long, after their team's 30-minute tea break had ended".
