Protest against CBI summons to Kejriwal: AAP says senior leaders detained by Delhi Police
Several senior AAP leaders were on Sunday "detained" by the Delhi Police while they were staging a sit-in to protest against the summoning of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the CBI in connection with the excise policy case.
The detainees included Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Atishi, Kailash Gahlot, Adil Ahmad Khan, Pankaj Gupta and some ministers in the Punjab government.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who also joined the sit-in on Archbishop Road, had left the spot before the AAP leaders' detention.

BSP chief Mayawati on Sunday said the killing of gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmad and his brother Ashraf in police custody in Prayagraj raises serious questions over the style of functioning of the Uttar Pradesh government.
It would be better if the Supreme Court takes cognisance of this "extremely serious and worrisome" incident, which is being discussed across the country, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said.
In a series of tweets, she said, "Now, instead of 'rule of law by law' in Uttar Pradesh, how appropriate is it that it becomes 'encounter Pradesh'? Something to think about."
"The shooting dead of Atiq Ahmad, who was brought from a Gujarat jail, and his brother Ashraf, who was brought from Bareilly jail, last night in Prayagraj in police custody is just as heinous as the Umesh Pal murder case. It raises serious questions on the law and order of the UP government, and its style of functioning," she said.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths have summoned former Trinamool Congress block president of Nalhati in Birbhum district, Bivas Adhikari to the agency's office at Kolkata for questioning in the multi-crore scam in recruitment of teaching and non-teaching staff in state-run schools of West Bengal
Sources said that Adhikari has been asked to reach the agency's Nizam Palace office in central Kolkata by Sunday afternoon only. On Saturday, the CBI sleuths conducted raid and search operations at the residence, office and ashram of Adhikari.
Talks with UK government on financial package continue: Tata Steel CEO
Tata Steel is still pursuing its request for the financial package with the UK government, the company's CEO T V Narendran said.
Narendran who is also the Managing Director of Tata Steel made the remarks in reply to a question on stance on exiting the UK business.

The three assailants, who were arrested after shooting dead gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf in Prayagraj, confessed to their crime on Sunday, adding that they did it to "become popular".
Days after Atiq Ahmed's son, Asad, was killed in an encounter in Uttar Pradesh's Jhansi, the ganglord-turned-politician and his brother were killed on Saturday while being taken for a medical examination in Prayagraj.
"We wanted to kill Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf with the aim of completely wiping off the Atiq-Ashraf gang and making a name for ourselves," the FIR quoted the arrested assailants as telling the police.
