Indore bags title of cleanest city in India seventh time in row: Govt survey
Indore and Surat have been named as India’s cleanest cities as part of the Swachh Survekshan 2023 Awards, which are given by the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. Surat won the award for the first time, whereas it was Indore’s seventh year in a row as the undisputed cleanest city in the country. Navi Mumbai was adjudged as the third cleanest city in the country.
Maharashtra was chosen as the cleanest state, followed by Madhya Pradesh at the second position.
