Passenger who hit pilot on Delhi-Goa flight apologises with folded hands

 
 
Sahil Kataria, the passenger who punched the pilot on a Delhi-Goa flight yesterday over flight delays, also asked  him to open the gate if it's not departing soon, NDTV reported today.
 
A video which has went viral on social media showed Kataria, clothed in a yellow hooded sweatshirt,  assaulting the flight's co-captain Anup Kumar when he was announcing a further delay in departure.
 
Fly if you want to, otherwise open the gate, he was heard shouting at the pilot before he was dragged away. Cops caught Kataria at the Delhi airport and he was seen expressing regret over the incident.

Mahindra Group, Ontario Teachers' co-sponsor InvIT in renewable energy space

Mahindra Group and the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board have jointly sponsored an infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) that holds assets totaling 1.54 GW in India's renewable energy sector. Named Sustainable Energy Infra Trust (SEIT), this InvIT is the largest of its kind in India's renewable energy domain. The trust has successfully raised an initial primary capital of Rs 1,365 crore through the offer of units, according to a statement from the Mahindra Group.

United Nations requested a sum of $4.2 billion to aid individuals in Ukraine and those displaced abroad in the current year. The appeal highlighted the depletion of resources among those on the front lines and emphasized the vulnerability of many refugees. Of the total amount, $3.1 billion is designated for supporting 8.5 million people within Ukraine, while the remaining $1.1 billion is aimed at assisting refugees and host communities outside the country.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has booked a new case of corruption against Lt Col Abhishek Chandra, the then SSO (contract and victualling) at Andaman and Nicobar Command, for allegedly accruing disproportionate wealth and depositing cash in lakhs in accounts of his family members.
Lieutenant Colonel Chandra was booked in 2022  as well for allegedly asking and acceptingmoney from various vendors in cash as well as bank deposits in the accounts of his family members.
