35 pirates, caught in mid-sea op by Navy, to be prosecuted in India: Report
The Indian Navy is about to bring 35 Somali pirates, who surrendered following a 40-hour mid-sea operation over the weekend, to India for prosecution, The Times of India reported today. The pirates, who had commandeered MV Ruen to launch attacks on other ships, will be prosecuted under the 'Maritime Anti-Piracy Act', notified last year.

The Supreme Court today granted bail to gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari's son Abbas Ansari in an arms license case. Last week, the top court had adjourned the bail plea of Abbas Ansari till March 18. Abbas was booked by the Uttar Pradesh Police for allegedly acquiring foreign guns on the pretext of shooting competitions.
