Zomato Managing Director & CEO Deepinder Goyal on Tuesday clarified that the company has "absolutely nothing to do" with a viral video in which a woman is seen riding a motorcycle without helmet dressed as a delivery partner of the online food delivery firm in Indore.
In a post on X, Goyal said, "Hey! We had absolutely nothing to do with this. We don't endorse helmet-less biking. Also, we don't have a 'Indore Marketing Head'."
Disappointed but will keep fighting, say activists after SC verdict on same-sex marriages
Activist Anjali Gopalan, who was among the bunch petitioners in the same-sex marriage case on Tuesday said that the the Supreme Court verdict refusing to recognise the legality of same sex marriages in the country was disappointing.
"We have been fighting for long and will keep doing so. Regarding adoption also nothing was done. What the CJI said was very good regarding adoption, but it's disappointing that other justices didn't agree...this is democracy but we are denying basic rights to our own citizens," Gopalan said.

The Israel Defence Forces on Tuesday said it thwarted an attempted infiltration by a terrorist cell from Lebanese territory and killed four terrorists who attempted to enter Israel and plant an explosive device.
Taking to X, the Israel Defence Forces stated, "The IDF thwarted an attempted infiltration by a terrorist cell from Lebanese territory. A short time ago, the IDF thwarted an attempted infiltration by a terrorist squad, which was identified by IDF surveillance as approaching the perimeter fence from Lebanese territory and planting a bomb. Four terrorists were killed."

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is facing difficulties in the preparation of detailed project reports, as companies concerned are not ready to accept new technology, union minister Nitin Gadkari said on Tuesday.
The road transport and highways minister said that the government is encouraging the use of new technologies.
India to see "healthy growth" in steel demand at 8.6 pc in 2023: worldsteel
The demand for steel in India is expected to register a 'healthy growth' of 8.6 per cent against the overall global rise of 1.8 per cent in 2023, worldsteel said on Tuesday.
It forecasts that global steel demand will grow 1.8 per cent in 2023 and reach 1,814.5 MT after having contracted by 3.3 per cent in 2022. In 2024, the demand will see an increase of 1.9 per cent to 1,849.1 MT, the World Steel Association (worldsteel) said.
