Patanjali case: Have to abide by undertaking given to court, you have broken every barrier, says SC to Ramdev

Yoga guru Ramdev and managing director of Patanjali Ayurved Acharya Balkrishna on Tuesday appeared before the Supreme Court in connection with the show cause notices issued as to why contempt proceedings would not be initiated against them. The court had summoned Ramdev and Balkrishna after taking exception to the company's failure to respond to the notice issued in the case relating to advertisements of the firm's products and their effectiveness.

Patanjali Ayurved’s Cofounder Ramdev is expected to appear in person to face the Supreme Court today over Patanjali Ayurved's "misleading advertisements". The top court had earlier summoned  Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurved's Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna to appear before it, seeking an explanation from them on why contempt proceedings should not be initiated for violating its orders prohibiting misleading advertisements.
