Russia-Ukraine war updates: US calls on Moscow to withdraw military from Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant
The United States has urged Russia to withdraw its military and civilian personnel from the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and return its full control to Ukraine. In a US State Department briefing on Monday (local time), spokesperson Matthew Miller stated that the US is aware of the reports of a 'drone attack' on the power plant, and is monitoring the conditions there.

ED conducts raids in Tamil Nadu against former DMK functionary Jaffer Sadiq
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today conducted raids in several cities in Tamil Nadu as part of a drugs trafficking-linked money laundering investigation against former DMK functionary Jaffer Sadiq and others, officials said. As many as 25 locations in the state capital Chennai, Madurai and Tiruchirappalli are being searched by ED officials, accompanied by an escort of central paramilitary forces, under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), they said.

Ex-Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel stated that the Supreme Court's decision in connection with the alleged liquor scam in Chhattisgarh had exposed the Centre for using the Enforcement Directorate to target opposition parties. The top court on Monday nullified the money laundering case against former IAS officer Anil Tuteja and his son Yash in the alleged Rs 2,000 crore liquor scam, saying there were no proceeds of the crime.

Twenty-five year old missing Indian student found dead in US
A 25-year-old Indian student, Mohammad Abdul Arfath, who had been missing since March was found dead in the US city of Cleveland, the second death within a week. Arfath, hailing from Nacharam, Hyderabad, arrived in the US last year in May to pursue a Masters in IT from Cleveland University. “Anguished to learn that Mr Mohammed Abdul Arfath, for whom search operation was underway, was found dead in Cleveland, Ohio,” the Consulate General of India in New York said in a post on X.

Delhi High Court to deliver verdict on Delhi CM's plea on ED arrest today
The Delhi High Court will deliver its verdict today on a plea filed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, challenging his arrest in a money laundering case linked with the liquor policy case. The Delhi chief minister has questioned the "timing" of his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate and said it was in contravention of the basic structure of the Constitution. Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma will pronounce the order at 2:30 pm on Tuesday.
