Delhi LG inspects projects in Narela, Bhorgarh and Bawana, sets Nov 15 as deadline for repair works
Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has warned authorities of strict action if they fail to complete all repair works in Narela, Bhorgarh and Bawana industrial areas by November 15, officials said on Monday.
Saxena recently inspected the ongoing work in these three industrial areas.
This inspection comes after a review meeting on October 13 where the LG had expressed "displeasure" over the "grave inaction" of the Delhi government and the Delhi State Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) in providing basic infrastructure to industrial units relocated to different parts of the city even 26 years after a Supreme Court order.
Curfew imposed in Dharashiv district after violence during Maratha quota agitation
A curfew has been imposed in Maharashtra's Dharashiv district after incidents of violence during the ongoing agitation for Maratha reservation, according to the local administration.
The assembly of more than five people is not allowed during the curfew period, as per an order issued on Monday night by district collector Sachin Ombase.
The curfew is imposed under section 144 (2) of the CrPC in the district and will continue till further orders, an official release said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced that a nationwide 'Mera Yuva Bharat' platform will be launched on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary on October 31 to give the youth an opportunity to play an active role in various nation building events.
In his Mann Ki Baat radio broadcast, Modi said the 'Mera Yuva Bharat' website is also going to be launched and the youth should register on MYBharat.Gov.in.
"MYBharat will provide an opportunity to the youth of India to play an active role in various nation building events. This is a unique effort of integrating the youth power of India in building a developed India," the prime minister said.
PM Modi to address 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' culmination event on Oct 31
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the final event of the 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign in the national capital on October 31, the Ministry of Culture said on Friday.
The event at Vijay Chowk will mark the culmination of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign's Amrit Kalash Yatra in which Amrit Kalash Yatris from 7000 blocks of 766 districts will be present.
It will also mark the wrap of the two years long campaign of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which began on March 12, 2021, to celebrate the 75 years of India's independence.
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has since witnessed more than two lakh programmes organized throughout the country with enthusiastic public participation.
Violence erupts during Maratha quota stir, homes of 2 MLAs torched
The ongoing agitation seeking reservation for the Maratha community descended into violence and arson on Monday as quota protesters torched, vandalised homes or offices of three MLAs, targeted a municipal council building and disrupted road traffic in Maharashtra, police said.
Homes of two Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLAs were set ablaze, while the office of another legislator from the ruling BJP was vandalised by protesters, they said, adding no casualties were reported.
The incidents of violence and arson were reported from central Maharashtra's Beed and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar districts even as Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange continued his indefinite fast in support of the reservation demand at a village in Jalna district.
