YSRCP govt destroyed Andhra economy; Rs 7 trillion revenue was lost: CM Naidu
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday alleged that the five-year rule by the YSRCP had destroyed the state's economy, which led to a loss of up to Rs 7 trillion revenue. The Chief Minister claimed that agriculture sector growth had declined from 16 per cent between 2014 and 2019 during the previous TDP government to 10.3 per cent under the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government. Also, he said that the service sector's growth rate dipped to 9.9 per cent from 10.3 per cent while releasing a white paper on the state's finances in the Assembly.

Ahead of assembly bypolls in Rajasthan, Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore has been appointed as the president of the BJP's Rajasthan unit, replacing party leader CP Joshi. Rajya Sabha MP Radha Mohan Das Agarwal has been made the state in-charge in place of party leader Arun Singh, the party said.
Rathore's appointment was announced in an notice issued on Thursday by BJP national general secretary Arun Singh.

Delhi High Court asks police to reply to MP Mahua Moitra's plea to quash FIR
The Delhi High Court on Friday asked the city police to respond to TMC Lok Sabha MP Mahua Moitra's plea seeking quashing of an FIR against her over a "derogatory" social media remark on NCW chief Rekha Sharma. Justice Neena Bansal Krishna issued a notice to the Delhi Police on the petition and asked it to file a status report within four weeks. The high court listed the matter for arguments on the legality and validity of the FIR, as challenged in the petition, on November 6.

Goods train derails near Bhubaneswar railway station
At least two wagons of a goods train derailed near Bhubaneswar railway station here on Friday, officials said. The derailment took place at about 8.30 am, they said. There was no report of any injury, the officials said, adding that railway teams have reached the site for restoration work.
