The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast "very heavy" rainfall across multiple parts of Maharashtra in the coming days. The weather department, stated in its bulletin on Thursday, that "isolated heavy rainfall" will likely be over parts of Central Maharashtra, the Konkan region, and other areas of the state on July 26 and 27.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared before an MP-MLA court here on Friday in a defamation case against him and said it was filed to gain "cheap publicity". Himachal Pradesh weather update: NH-3 reopenes after flash floods, Met predicts heavy rains till Jul 30
The Manali-Leh National Highway 3 has been opened for vehicular traffic, officials said on Friday, two days after a section of the road was blocked between Dhundi and Palchan Bridge following a flash flood.The deluge was caused by a cloudburst at the Anjani Mahadev nullah in Manali around Wednesday midnight. The road was thrown open on Thursday evening by the Border Road Organisation (BRO), the officials added. The traffic was earlier being routed via Rohtang Pass.
