Donald Trump arrived at a Miami courthouse Tuesday to surrender to face charges of mishandling government secrets, after becoming the first president in US history to be indicted by a federal grand jury. Security was tight around the downtown courthouse where Trump is expected to deny more than 30 charges of unlawfully removing dozens of classified documents as he left the White House in 2021, and of obstructing efforts to recover them.

Crisis-hit airline Go First on Tuesday announced that its scheduled flight operations will remain cancelled till June 16, adding that a full refund will be issued to the passengers. Earlier, it was supposed to be till June 12. Earlier on June 8, Go First announced that its scheduled flight operations will remain cancelled till June 12. The airline operator had in early May filed for voluntary insolvency and since then its operations were kept stalled. Civil aviation regulator DGCA had advised the airline to submit a comprehensive restructuring or revival plan, within a period of 30 days. The revival plan once submitted by Go First shall be reviewed by the regulator for further appropriate action in the matter.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said that cyclone Biparjoy has turned from extreme to a 'very severe' cyclonic storm and will cross the Jakhau Port in Gujarat by Thursday evening, although an 'orange' alert is still in effect for the state's Saurashtra and Kutch coasts. Adani Group’s flagship Mundra operation, India’s busiest container harbor, the oil ports of Vadinar and Sikka, as well as Kandla, Okha, Bedi and Navlakhi have suspended operations, reported Bloomberg quoting Gujarat Maritime Board. Sikka is a key facility for Reliance Industries Ltd.’s giant Jamnagar refinery. In the wake of the impending Cyclone Biparjoy, Indian Railways have activated the disaster management room and also opened emergency control rooms in several districts of Gujarat to ensure smooth rail functioning.

69 trains cancelled in view of cyclone Biparjoy

Sumit Thakur the chief public relations officer (CPRO) of Western Railway said that till now 69 trains have been cancelled in view of the cyclone. "Today or tomorrow cyclone is going to hit in Gujarat seashore. Western Railway has prepared for it and our senior officers are also there. At stations we have deployed our senior officers and we have stored the materials which can be used when a cyclone will hit Gujarat," he said. The railway CPRO said that wind speed is being monitored and station masters have been instructed to regulate or stop trains when the wind velocity exceeds 60 kmph.
