Infosys to receive Rs 6,329 crore tax refund from I-T department
Infosys expects a refund of Rs 6,329 crore from the Income Tax Department, the country's second largest IT services company said. It also informed the stock exchanges about tax demand to the tune of Rs 2,763 crore, citing various assessment orders. Infosys Ltd said it has received orders from the Income Tax Department for assessment years 07-08 to 15-16, 17-18, and 18-19 during the quarter.

I-T, CBI also detected Rs 45 cr kickback used in AAP Goa poll campaign: ED
The money trail of the alleged Rs 45 crore kickbacks generated from the Delhi excise policy "scam" and used for the 2022 Goa election campaign by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), as claimed by the Enforcement Directorate, has also been "substantiated" by the CBI and the Income-Tax department in their separate investigations, according to documents filed in court. A wide network of Hawala operators and 'Angadiyas' are also being investigated by the ED in this case where it recently arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and claimed he and his political outfit are liable to be prosecuted in the alleged laundering of these funds.

LS polls: Election officials search former Telangana CM KCR's bus
As part of poll duty, election officials on Sunday inspected the bus in which former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao was traveling during his visit to Suryapet district, about 170 km from here. President Droupadi Murmu conferred Bharat Ratna, the country's highest civilian honour, on BJP stalwart and former deputy prime minister L K Advani at his residence here on Sunday. The ceremony was attended by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah and the family members of Advani, the Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a post on X. Prime Minister Modi sat next to Advani as the President honoured the veteran leader with Bharat Ratna.

''Tyranny won't work and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal cannot be kept behind bars for long,'' said Sunita Kejriwal, reading out her husband's message from Enforcement Directorate custody at the INDIA bloc's 'Loktantra Bachao' rally here on Sunday. In her maiden speech at a political rally, Sunita also asked people whether Kejriwal should resign as Chief Minister. "The BJP is demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Kejriwal. Should he resign? Is his arrest justified? He is a 'sher' (lion). They won't be able to keep him behind bars for long," she said.
