Heavy rains likely in Andhra Pradesh for next five days

The India Meteorological Department on Tuesday forecast heavy rains for four days in parts of Andhra Pradesh due to the influence of a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. According to the Met Department, heavy rainfall is expected in isolated areas of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP) and Rayalaseema from November 11 to 15.

Two bodies recovered in Manipur's Jiribam

Bodies of two elderly men were recovered on Tuesday morning in Manipur's Jiribam district where a gunfight between suspected militants and security forces broke out a day before, police said. During a search operation for missing persons, the bodies of Laishram Balen and Maibam Kesho were detected in debris in Jakuradhor Karong area where a few shops were set on fire by suspected militants on Monday, a senior officer said.

Assam: Four killed as car falls from under-construction culvert

At least four people, including a five-year-old child were killed when the car they were travelling fell from an under-construction culvert in Assam's Tinsukia district on Tuesday, police said."Four of the six passengers, including a 5-year-old child, died on the spot. The two others sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh for immediate treatment," he added.

Israeli strikes kill 14 Palestinians in Gaza, medical officials say

Palestinian medical officials say two Israeli strikes in Gaza killed at least 14 people, including two children and a woman, most in an Israeli-declared humanitarian zone. One strike late Monday hit a cafeteria in the so-called Muwasi humanitarian zone west of the city of Khan Younis, killing at least 11 people including two children, according to officials at Nasser Hospital, where the casualties were taken.
