Pacer Harshit Rana has got his maiden call up while spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been kept away due to a groin injury. Apart from that, Axar patel has been dropped while Nitin Kumar Reddy has been selected as a bowling all-rounder.

"In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, Hon'ble President, after consultation with Hon'ble Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Judge of the Supreme Court of India as Chief Justice of India with effect from 11th November, 2024," Meghwal wrote on X.

Search Operations continued on Friday morning in Baramulla following the firefight between the Indian Army and terrorists last night. Two Indian Army soldiers and two civilian porters were killed after terrorists attacked a military vehicle in Baramulla. One soldier and one porter are injured and undergoing treatment, Indian Army officials said. In an intial post on X, the Srinagar-based Chinar corps said that, "A brief firefight took place between Indian Army and terrorists in general area Butapathri, Baramulla. During the firefight two soldiers and two porters have suffered injuries and have been evacuated for medical care." In a subsequent update, the Chinar Corps said, "During the firefight two soldiers and two porters have suffered injuries and have been evacuated for medical care. Operation in progress."

Gandhi shared a video on X of his visit to the barber shop in Uttam Nagar's Prajapat Colony. He was seen in the clip enquiring about the barber's problems while getting his beard trimmed.
 
"'There is nothing left!' These four words of Ajit Bhai and his tears tell the story of every hard-working poor and middle-class person of India today. From barbers to cobblers, potters to carpenters -- falling incomes and rising inflation have robbed the working class of their dreams of having their own shops, houses and even self-respect," the former Congress president said in his post.
 
What is needed now are modern solutions and new schemes that will increase incomes and bring back savings, Gandhi said.

AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Friday asked the Delhi residents to call their natives in BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana and ask them if they get round-the-clock electricity like they get in the national capital.
 
Kejriwal made the remark while addressing a gathering in west Delhi's Vikas Puri as part of the party's ongoing 'padyatra'.

The former Delhi chief minister hardsold the Delhi government's free schemes like electricity, water and bus rides for women in the city.

"Call your people in UP, Haryana, Rajasthan, or Bihar and ask if your relatives are getting free electricity for 24 hours," he asked a gathering.

"If the BJP comes to power, there will be 10-hour power cuts in Delhi also. So do not vote for the BJP even by mistake," Kejriwal said.
The AAP chief was accompanied by local MLA Mahinder Yadav.

The Delhi-based app developer -- who has been grabbing social media attention for his unique demand to fund his higher studies by selling the JioHotstar domain, following the merger deal of media assets of Reliance and India business of Walt Disney -- wants to avoid a legal battle with the corporate giant and hopes that a compassionate stand would be taken.
 
In a response to PTI query on mail @Jiohotstar, the ID mentioned on the viral post, the anonymous techie said: "I haven't received any reply and proposal from reliance".
 
"I don't think they intend to pay in my case as well. I would be extremely happy if they do," he said in the reply.
