Two killed, 64 injured as state transport buses collide on highway in Pune
Two persons were killed and 64 injured after two state transport buses collided with each other on the Pune-Solapur Highway in Maharashtra, police said on Tuesday. The accident occurred near Varvand village in Pune district around 5 pm on Monday, an official said. A Pune-bound bus of the Maharashtra State Transport Corporation (MSRTC) collided with a bus heading towards Solapur, police inspector Narayan Deshmukh said.

Karnataka Examination Authority proposes Aadhaar-liked registration for all exams
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has proposed Aadhaar-linked registration for students aspiring for professional course seats from next year, with an intention to put an end to the menace of seat blocking, official sources said on Tuesday.The KEA has submitted this proposal to the e-Governance department.
"The e-Governance department is in favour of our proposal and they have sent a proposal to the Government of India for approval, we are awaiting the approval soon," KEA Executive Director H Prasanna said.

Delhi HC grants bail to co-accused in PMLA case involving AAP leader Satyendar Jain
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday granted bail to two accused -- Vaibhav Jain and Ankush Jain -- in a case of alleged money laundering involving senior AAP leader Satyendar Jain. Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri granted regular bail to the duo nearly 10 days after the former Delhi minister was granted relief.
A court had granted bail to Satyendar Jain, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in May 2022, citing "delay in trial" and his "long incarceration".

Delhi registers poor air quality with AQI 272 on Tuesday morning
The national capital's air quality on Tuesday morning was recorded in the 'poor' category with an AQI of 272, an improvement from that AQI of 304 recorded a day ago, according to Central Pollution Control Board data. Out of a total of 40 monitoring stations, data from 37 has been shared by the department. Among these, 10 stations -- Anand Vihar, Alipur, Aya Nagar, Bawana, Jahangirpuri, Mundka, Narela, Wazirpur, Vivek Vihar, and Sonia Vihar -- were in the "very poor" category, while the remaining in the "poor" category.
