Swati Maliwal 'assault' case update:Charge sheet filed in Delhi court against CM Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar
The Delhi High Court on July 12 rejected the bail plea of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s aide, Bibhav Kumar, in the case related to Rajya Sabha member Swati Maliwal’s alleged assault. Justice Anoop Kumar Mendiratta said Kumar wields influence as Kejriwal’s personal secretary, and thus the possibility of him influencing witnesses and tampering with the evidence cannot be ruled out.

The CBI has arrested two persons including a key accused in the NEET-UG paper leak case who allegedly stole the paper from a National Testing Agency's trunk in Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, officials said Tuesday. The total number of arrests in connection with cases related to leakage, impersonation and other irregularities in the medical entrance exam has now reached 14, they said.

The accused, Anil Yadav alias Chhota Sandeep, a resident of Aurangabad district, has been named in the supplementary charge sheet filed before the NIA special court here on Monday.

1.5 tmcft of Cauvery water flowing to Tamil Nadu daily, says Karnataka Deputy CM Shivakumar
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Tuesday informed the Legislative Assembly that 1.5 tmcft of water is flowing to Biligundlu in Tamil Nadu daily, with increase in the inflow into the four major reservoirs in the Cauvery river basin in his state, following good rains in the catchment areas. Puri Ratna Bhandar to be opened again on Thursday: Justice Rath
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) will reopen the inner chamber of the Ratna Bhandar on Thursday to transfer ornaments to a temporary storeroom set up within the 12th-century shrine complex, four days after it was opened after a gap of 46 years for inventory and repairs. "We will again open the locks and enter Bhitara Ratna Bhandar between 9:51 am and 12:15 pm on July 18. The valuables in the inner chamber will be shifted to the temporary storeroom, and the ASI members will also assess its structural stability. The entire event will be videographed," Justice Biswanth Rath said.

Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal today stated that farmers will head towards Delhi whenever the national highway, which is barricaded at Shambhu border near Ambala in Haryana, is opened. His statement came days after the Punjab and Haryana High Court asked the Haryana government to open the barricades at the Shambhu border on "experimental basis". Enforcement Directorate raids Bihar IAS officer, ex RJD MLA in money laundering probe
Probe agency Enforcement Directorate today raided multiple premises in Bihar, Delhi and Pune as part of a money laundering investigation against Bihar cadre IAS officer Sanjeev Hans and former RJD MLA Gulab Yadav, official sources said. The raids are being undertaken against the 1997-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Hans, currently serving as the Principal Secretary of the Bihar energy department, apart from Yadav and some others.
