New criminal code passed in a hurry, we seek deferment: TMC MP

"West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has already written to Union Government to ask for a deferment of the implementation of the law. The Delhi High Court is set to pass an order today on the maintainability ground of a plea moved by Kejriwal's close aide Bibhav Kumar seeking direction to declare his arrest by Delhi Police as illegal. Kumar was taken in custody by the Delhi Police on May 18, in connection with a FIR registered by Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal assault case.
