"If the BJP-led Centre has already repealed those laws and if its elected MP makes a statement on those laws, then action should be taken against her. The commerce and industry ministry has received a number of inputs from stakeholders and departments to further decriminalise minor offences in the second edition of the Jan Vishwas bill, expected to be tabled in Parliament in Budget session next year, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said. Last year, the Jan Vishwas law was rolled out to promote ease of business by decriminalising minor offences through amendments in 183 provisions of 42 acts.

2 killed in head-on collision between two trucks in Amethi
Two persons were killed and another injured in a head-on collision between two trucks on the Rae Bareli-Sultanpur Highway in the Munshiganj police station area here, police said. The incident occurred near the Mamta Steel Factory. "The deceased have been identified as Radheshyam Yadav (50) from Misanpur Khurd in Gorakhpur district and Raju (26) from Rae Bareli.
