The Congress on Saturday accused the Karnataka BJP of attempting to destabilise its government in the southern state.
Sharing a media report which quoted first-time Congress MLA Ravikumar Gowda (Ganiga) as saying that a team of BJP leaders is approaching lawmakers with offers to defect, Congress general secretary organization, K C Venugopal, slammed the BJP in a post on X.
"A party without a leader or an agenda is resorting to their old habit of undoing the people's mandate," he said.

Two members of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) have arrived in Nagaland on a five-day visit during which they will hold discussions with key stakeholders, and look at ways to bolster development of the region, officials said.
The members Sanjeev Sanyal and Devi Prasad Mishra arrived in the northeastern state on Friday, a release issued by the Nagaland Planning & Transformation Department said.
The visit focuses on catalysing economic growth and development in the region, and holds promise for strengthening vital sectors as well as forging collaborations, it said.

Himachal: Some shops, tents gutted in fire at Kullu Dussehra festival, say officials
Some shops and tents were gutted in a fire at the Kullu Dussehra festival in Himachal Pradesh late Friday night, officials said.
Two people suffered injuries while dousing the fire and one of them was hospitalised, Kullu Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg said.
The incident took place at the Dussehra ground in front of the court complex. The fire has been brought under control, they said. The week-long festival began on October 24.
Arrested by ED, TMC Minister Jyotipriya Mallick admitted to hospital; condition 'stable'
West Bengal minister Jyotipriya Mallick, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with an alleged multicrore ration scam, was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata yesterday evening after complaints of dizziness, nausea and vomiting, officials said on Saturday.
As per the medical bulletin of the arrested Bengal minister, released by the private hospital, Mallick was brought to the emergency department of the hospital around 7.05 pm with complaints of dizziness, nausea, vomiting and weakness of the left arm. "The patient was evaluated by the Emergency physician and a team of consultants consisting of Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology and Nephrology," the hospital said.
