Aiims Delhi reverses decision to stay shut till 2.30 pm

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in national capital Delhi has reversed its decision to take half-day off on 22 January, Monday, citing the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha ceremony. The reversal of decision by the central government-run hospital comes amid severe backlash for taking a half-day off. On Saturday the AIIMS Delhi, and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi had announced a half-day closure of its offices and institutions on January 22, 2024, as Ram Lalla 'Pran Pratishtha' at Ayodhya will be celebrated across India. However, all critical clinical services will continue their operations.

PM Modi visits Ram Setu's origin point, Arichal Munai, ahead of 'Pran Pratishtha'

In the last legs of his spiritual journey leading up to the 'Pran Pratishtha' of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid a visit to the Arichal Munai in Tamil Nadu's Dhanushkodi.
 
Arichal Munai is believed to be the point from which the Ram Setu was built.
 
Prime Minister Modi was pictured offering a floral tribute at the Arichal Munai point.
 
Later in the day, PM Modi will visit Sri Kothandarama Swamy temple in Rameshwaram.

Ram temple consecration celebrations: Ten lakh diyas to be lit in Ayodhya

Ten lakh earthen lamps or diyas will illuminate Ayodhya on Monday evening to celebrate the consecration of the Ram temple.
 
Diyas will be lit at 100 temples here, including the Ram Temple, and Ram Ki Paidi, Kanak Bhawan, Guptar Ghat, Sarayu Ghat, Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, Maniram Das Chavani, besides other prominent locations, officials said.
 
The much-awaited Ram temple consecration will be held here on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the rituals, following which the shrine will be opened for the public a day later.
 
Following the consecration ceremony, every citizen has been encouraged to light diyas at their homes in the evening.

He has also asked his Cabinet colleagues to celebrate the temple consecration ceremony by lighting up diyas at their homes and also feed the poor.

Moment of great happiness, says top Ayodhya seer ahead of 'Pran Pratishtha'

With just a day left for the grand opening of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Temple, shared his joy ahead of the 'Pran Pratishtha' saying it would be a moment of 'great happiness' for him to ceremonially restore the deity to His birthplace.
 
The 'Pran Pratishtha' of Shri Ram Lalla is scheduled to begin at 12.30 pm on Monday.
 
Speaking to ANI on Sunday, Acharya Das said, "It is a moment of great happiness that Ram Lalla will finally take his throne at the grand temple. The chanting of Vedic verses that began on January 16 will be completed tomorrow."

UP Police increase vigilance amid surge in cyber fraud ahead of Ram temple consecration

Police in Uttar Pradesh have been instructed to increase vigilance amid a surge in cyber criminals trying to cheat people through false messages claiming to collect donations for Ram Janmabhoomi, besides providing free prasad and VIP passes ahead of the Ram temple event, officials said on Sunday.
 
They said the government has sprung into action and is taking proactive measures to address and counteract these malicious activities as the state prepares for the January 22 consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.
 
Circle Officer, Ayodhya, Shailendra Singh said police in the city recently arrested an Indian-American citizen involved in cheating people using similar means.
 
The person was allegedly offering home delivery of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Pran Pratistha 'prasad' for Rs 51 to citizens of Indian origin and for USD 11 to citizens of other countries through websites and social media, he said. The accused was also selling T-shirts, silver coins and other merchandise themed on 'Shri Ram'.
 
The man was charged with deceiving over 16 lakh people and his fraudulent transactions amounted to Rs 10.5 crore, the circle officer said.
 
He added that people receiving misleading calls or messages should promptly contact the National Cyber Helpline at 1930 to report the incident.

Devotees from Nepal reach Ayodhya ahead of Ram temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony

As the Ram temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony draws near, devotees from Nepal reached Ayodhya from Nepal to witness the historic occasion.
 
On being able to attend the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya Ram temple on January 22, the devotees from Nepal, who arrived in Ayodhya on January 19, said that they are very happy to be here.
 
While speaking to ANI, one of the devotees said, "We are from Nepal. We are six people, and we came here the day before yesterday. We feel so good to be here. It was 30 years ago when I came here; it was very complicated back then. But now that the temple is constructed, we are very happy."
 
"We are all bestowed with the blessings of Lord Ram. We are extremely happy," he added.

Jodhpur's famous 'Ramnami' turbans brought to Ayodhya ahead of 'Pran Pratishtha'

Devotees from Rajatshan's Jodhpur have brought the famous 'Ramnami' turbans to the 'Ram Nagri'.People from across the country have been making contributions, either in cash or kind, ahead of the mega ceremony to express their faith and devotion towards Ram Lalla.The turbans, brought from Jodhpur, have the words 'Jai Shri Ram' inscribed on them."I am filled with unbridled joy and pride to be in Ayodhya. I had received an invitation to the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony. It felt as if the Lord, Himself, wished for me to be here for the 'Pran Pratishtha'. The turban that I'm wearing is famous where I come from. I have brought similar turbans for all 'Ram Bhakts'," Acharya Sandeepan Maharaj from Jodhpur told ANI."These turbans will be distributed among Ram Bhakts on the 'Pran Pratishtha' day. Lord Ram is on everyone's lips going into the grand temple inauguration day. I want the words Ram Lalla to be etched in the hearts and minds of everyone," he added.

Odisha art teacher creates miniature Ram temple

A 40-year-old teacher and miniature artist of Odisha has created a five-and-a-half-inch-long Ram temple of Ayodhya ahead of its consecration ceremony on January 22.
 
Eshwar Rao made the replica using paper, match stick and chalk.
 
"The model is five-and-a-half inches high and 2-and-a-half inches wide. A one-inch-tall figure of Lord Hanuman is also there in front of the temple. The figure is made of chalk," Rao said.
 
It took Rao, a devotee of Lord Hanuman, seven days to create the miniature temple.
 
These seven days were the best days in my life as I prayed to Lord Sri Ram all along while making the temple, he said.

Influx of devotees in Ayodhya: Arrangements made for parking of over 22,000 vehicles

Seeking to ensure a smooth entry and exit for visitors arriving here for the Ram temple consecration ceremony on Monday, the Uttar Pradesh government has made arrangements for parking at 51 designated locations in the city.
 
With parking spaces for 22,825 vehicles, these spots will be under drone surveillance and are conveniently marked on Google Maps to facilitate guests, officials said here on Sunday.
 
Special parking provisions have been made for VVIPs, VIPs, and other guests, ensuring a well-organised and equipped setup, they said.
 
Additional Director General (ADG), Traffic, BD Paulson said 51 places have been identified to park vehicles of guests coming for the ceremony.
 
These include five spots on Rampath, one on Bhakti Path Marg, four on Dharma Path Marg, five on Parikrama Marg, two on Bandha Marg, one on Tehri Bazaar Rampath to Mahobra Marg and seven places on Tehri Bazaar Rampath to Unwal Marg, he added.
 
Additionally, parking arrangements cover two spots on the Ayodhya to Gonda route, 10 on national highway 27, seven in Tirtha Kshetra Puram, three around Karsevak Puram tent city, and four at Ramkatha Mandapam tent city.

Ram temple consecration: Diyas lit up in Chandrapur in shape of 'Siyavar Ramchandra Ki Jai'

Thousands of earthen lamps were lit up in the shape of Hindi words 'Siyavar Ramchandra Ki Jai' at a ground in Maharashtra's Chandrapur city ahead of the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
 
Maharashtra cabinet minister Sudhir Mungantiwar along with his family members performed a pooja before the devotees of Lord Ram lit up the earthen lamps (diyas) here late Saturday evening.
 
The event was held at the Chanda Club ground, where several saffron flags were also put up to mark the celebration of the Ram temple consecration to be held in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya city on Monday.
 
Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee Sarvajanik Vachanalay here took the initiative to organise the event, where a show of fireworks was also held in the presence of Mungantiwar.

MP govt bans selling liquor, meat on Jan 22

The government of Madhya Pradesh has issued a directive, declaring the closure of slaughterhouses and meat and fish shops on January 22, coinciding with the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The State Urban Development Department has instructed civic bodies to ensure the shutdown of these establishments on that day.
