VBC Ferro Alloys Ltd was incorporated on 3 Oct.'81 as a public limited company in Andhra Pradesh. The company manufactures Ferro Silicon at its plant in the Medak district of Andhra Pradesh. The company came out with an issue of 2.29 lac 14% PCDs of Rs 350 in Nov.'89 to part-finance setting up a project to expand the ferro silicon capacity from 10000 to 15000 tpa and a diversification programme to manufacture 16000 tpa of low phosphorous pig iron with a project cost of Rs 14.78 cr. The Board of Directors has approved the scheme of merger of Orissa Power Consortium Limited(Company1) and VBC Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd(Company2) with Chrome Silicon Limited.

The Board of Directors have approved the following:A) Board of Directors considered and approved the Un- Audited Financial Results for the quarter ended 30th September 2024.B) Board of Directors have approved the Scheme of Amalgamation (Scheme) for merger of Orissa Power Consortium Limited (OPCL/ Transferor Company1) and VBC Renewable Energy Private Limited (VBCREPL / Transferor Company-2) hereinafter collectively referred as Transferor Companies into and with Chrome Silicon Limited (CSL/ Company/ Transferee Company) after considering the recommendation of the Audit Committee pursuant to Sections 230 to 232 of the Companies Act 2013.
