Incorporated in Hyderabad in Nov.'81 as India Rubber & Allied Products, it went public in 1992 and its name was changed to the present one. It was promoted by K K Balachandar and K K Ravendran and others. It manufactures pre-cured tread rubber, bonding gum and vulcanising solution. The company also set up franchises to supply machinery for retreading worn-out tyres. It provides technical know-how, installs machinery, and imparts training. It also undertakes mixing of rubber compounds on a job-order basis for other companies. An entirely worn-out tyre need not be scrapped.
