Tata Power: Tata Power has received Letter of Award (LoA) to implement smart metering project in Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company. The value of project is Rs 1,744 crore, and the project will be spanned over a period of 10 years.
Adant Enterprises: According to a report, Adani Enterprises has fully repaid Rs 10 crore of commercial paper, which is unsecured, short-term debt. The company redeemed the commercial paper on July 5, which was the date of its maturity. There is no outstanding amount remaining.
JSW Steel, Zomato, JBM Auto: JSW Steel will replace Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) in the S&P BSE Sensex effective from July 13. Moreover, JBM Auto Components will replace HDFC Ltd in S&P BSE 500 index; Zomato in S&P BSE 100 index; and Apollo Hospitals in S&P BSE Sensex 50 index. READ

US new orders rise much lower than estimates in May
New orders for US-made goods increased $1.6 billion, or 0.3 per cent to $578 billion in May, much below expectations.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast orders rising 0.8%. Orders increased 1.1% through May from a year earlier.

US Fed minutes: More rate hikes are coming
Fed officials at their June meeting decided to pause rate hike to assess the impact of 10 previous hikes but hinted further tightening is likely amid unacceptably high inflation.
Minutes also indicate disagreement among members. All but two of the 18 participants expected that at least one hike would be appropriate this year, and 12 expected two or more.
