Stock Market LIVE Updates: India has taken the lead in the global IPO landscape, with a 36% share of total listings in the third quarter of 2024, even surpassing the United States, which held a 13% share.

 

India recorded the highest quarterly listings in the third quarter over the past 20 years, according to a report by Ernst & Young India. The main market recorded 27 IPOs showing a 29% increase from Q3 2023, raising $4,285 million (Rs 36,027 crore), a  142% increase from the year-ago period. Stock Market LIVE Updates: Godrej Industries today informed that it has signed a business transfer agreement to acquire Savannah Surfactants' food additives and emulsifier business, for a total consideration of Rs 76 crore. 

The company, in an exchange filing, said, "We wish to inform you that the Company has signed a Business Transfer Agreement with Savannah Surfactants Limited (Goa) with the intention to acquire their Food Additives and Emulsifier business. Please find enclosed herewith press release, the contents of which are selfexplanatory." 

The acquisition of Savannah's additives business, which is a leading player in oleochemicals, surfactants, specialties and biotech, will help Godrej expand its offerings to the food and beverages segment.

The company added that the Savannah's additives business, located in Goa, has a manufacturing capacity of 5,200 MTPA of finished products.
